Walking suggestions

BAD HÄRING: Juffinger Jöchl – Werlberg (Duration: approx. 4.5 hours)
Bad Häring - Juffinger Jöchl Proceed uphill through the Lengautal to the “Lengau” mountain inn, carry on, keeping right till you get a view of the Sölltal. From there either
a) go along the winter ski track straight over the ridge of the mountain to the Juffinger Jöchl. Turn west along the ridge of the mountain, downhill, or
b) continue along the track to the “Juffing” mountain inn. Just below is the snack bar “Stallhäusl”, see notice signs. From here, downhill again to the Grausseckerstadl.
Routes a) and b) meet here. From Stadl continue to the west across meadows and small sections of forest, heading towards the valley, to the Werlbergstadl. Follow the Forststrasse down to the Werlbergerhof, then to the Weiler Ag  to Bad Häring.
EBBS: Nikolausrundweg (Duration: approx. 2 hours)
Ebbs - Nikolaus Rundweg Follow the Kaiserbergstrasse between the church and the Oberwirt inn. At the next road fork turn left – toward Aschinger Alm.

At the edge of the woods, the climb begins towards St.Nikolaus. Carry straight on till you get to the road fork in Nussham, Turn left after a few metres.

Keep to the left, past meadows and farms, till you reach the Mühletal dairy. At the next fork, left again towards the village centre.
ERL: Spitzstein (Duration: approx. 3 hours)
Erl - Spitzstein From Erl village approx. 3 hours (from the Berggasthof Moosbauer approx. 1 to 1.5 hours) along the Erlerbergstrasse to the Berggasthof Moosbauer.

Now turn north to the Gogl-Alm (access by car to this point, limited parking). On to the Spitzsteinhaus. Mountain refuge hut of the German Alpine Club, Munich section.

From there another 30 minutes approx. to the summit of the Spitzstein.
KUFSTEIN: Aschenbrenner Venediger view (Duration: approx. 2 hours)
Kufstein - Aschenbrenner Take the Forststrasse, behind the municipal facilities. In winter the Forststrasse is used as a tobogganing run and to supply the refuge hut. It is closed to traffic and therefore ideal for a pleasant walks in the mountains.

From the municipal facilities at Kienbichl you reach the Forststrasse along a path heading west, which then crosses the woodlands in broad sweeps finally leading to the Gaststätte Aschenbrenner inn. The house was built by the famous mountain guide and longstanding landlord of the Stripsenjochhaus, Peter Aschenbrenner, and extended with an inn. A diversion from the mountain inn provides a beautiful views, taking in not just the Inn valley, but also the 3000 m high Venediger Gruppe. To reach it, either climb the path or use the path via the Brentenjoch (1204 m) and descend via the Hinterdux Alpine inn to Kufstein.
LANGKAMPFEN: Höhlenstein (Duration: approx. 1,5 hours)
Langkampfen - Höhlenstein Starting point: Unterlangkampfen-Raiffeisenkasse

Straight along the Windschnurweg, climbing slightly, on along the Forstweg and the well-marked path.

Across a hollow in the meadow to the sunny Höhlensteinhaus, surrounded by tree and mountain pine covered hillocks.
NIEDERNDORF: Niederndorf circular route (Duration: approx. 2 hours)
Niederndorf - Rundwanderweg Go past the petrol station and the Niederndorf local museum for approx. 30 minutes to the Hechenberg. The forest path is marked with hand-painted Stations of the Cross.

chapel on the Hechenberg “Maria Heimsuchung” (Visitation of Mary) was built in 1778. The baroque wrought-iron screens, the Löffler bell, the late classical altar, created in 1848 by Josef Stumpf are worth seeing.

Carry on along the Forstweg to the quarry before the Hölzlsau-Bauern, then right along the forest path to the Hinterhaunhold farm. From there follow the signs to the Beham Ried snack bar – carry on through Pittlham back to Niederndorf.
SCHWOICH: Circular walk on the Walleralm
Schwoich - Rundwanderweg Starting point: Schwoich village;

Go through the Ried and Egerbach parts of the village, past the Eiberg cement works, over the “Steinerne Stiege” to the Hintersteinersee. Turn left before the Gasthof Wiedauer and along the well-kept forest path to the Walleralm. Specialities from their own Schnapps distillery await there to reward you for the climb. Hot, country cooking is available above in the Berggasthof Walleralm.

Return: Turn left on the hill into the Kitzgraben, carry on via Rechau-Pestkreuz-Gaissbachgraben, past the Haberg and Egerbach back to Schwoich.
THIERSEETAL: Pendling Kufsteiner Haus (Duration: approx. 2,5 hours)
Thiersee - Pendling - Kufsteiner Haus Starting point: Information office Vorderthiersee;

Go west to the church. Behind the church, a footpath leads to Mitterland. Follow this road towards the Gasthof Schneeberg. From there, go along the Forstweg to the Kala Alm.

Once you have reached the Kala Alm, a path off to the right takes you to our local mountain, the Pendling with the Kufsteinerhaus. Enjoy the glorious and unique panoramic views over the Inn valley while you tuck in to a wholesome pork roast.

Lift facilities

"Wilder Kaiser" chairlift
Float pleasantly upwards through the woods high above Kufstein, up to the Brentenjoch – enjoy a breathtaking view over the fortress town and then walk off into the Kaiser region Kufstein – thanks to the Wilder Kaiser chairlift.

Daily from 9.00 a.m. till 4.00 p.m. (last trip down is at 4.00 p.m.)

"Zahmer Kaiser" lift facilities
Up to 1000m with a double chairlift. When coming down, you can get off at the halfway station and toboggan the last bit to the valley on the summer toboggan run.
